The world on a plate, one delicious ingredient at a time

Weave A Thousand Flavors

For as long as I can remember, I've loved sharing my love & knowledge of good food with those around me. That's not surprising coming from a family of great cooks where the benchmark was pretty high.

Few things makes me happier than cooking for family & friends, perfecting a recipe in my home kitchen or teaching a culinary class where we are cooking up some fantastic dishes from around the world. Sharing stories about the incredible artisans in our culinary world, the wonderful people that I've met on my travels or laying out steps to make a recipe work just right, gives me real joy.

These recipes and stories are meant to be a resource and a path to nurturing the love of good food & cooking, an anchor for my sons as they step out into the world, and head to university and beyond.  Each dish is a thread that connects us to our travels, to our family, to our grandparents and those who came before them.

Each recipe is kitchen tested or classroom tested in front of my adult education students in culinary classes, just for you! I hope that each bite awakens a special memory.

So a warm thank you for being here, as we get cooking, one delicious ingredient at a time. I hope you'll join me for a culinary class or on one of our bespoke culinary & architectural tours around the world at, WEAVE A THOUSAND JOURNEYS.

Come for the food, stay for the kinship!

warmly, Devaki
